Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information as a user of our general management/moderation Discord Bot. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that any personal information we collect is handled responsibly.
Data Collection and Use
Our Discord Bot collects information necessary to perform its intended functions as a general management and moderation tool on your server. This may include user IDs, usernames, and other identifiers required to carry out actions such as moderation, configuration, and automation tasks. We may also collect usage data such as commands executed or features enabled to improve the functionality, reliability, and security of the bot.
All data collection is strictly tied to the features you use or explicitly configure. The bot does not collect any data outside of the scope of its configured functionality unprompted.
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as passwords, payment credentials, or private message content. Any payment details are handled exclusively by our third-party Merchant of Record.
As part of providing advanced protections and analytics, certain features may collect contextual data when used. For example, if a user issues a command to restore channels deleted by another bot, we may store the fact that the target bot was flagged as the source of the deletion. This information may be used internally to identify trends such as bots commonly involved in harmful behavior across multiple servers in order to proactively protect other servers that enable relevant protection features. However, this data is not tied to message contents and is not stored in raw form unprompted, only conclusions (e.g., βlikely nuke behavior detectedβ) are preserved for long-term use.
We also process usage analytics and action-related data to improve the service, such as tracking feature usage frequency or monitoring the effectiveness of anti-abuse systems. All such data is used internally and will not be shared or sold to third parties.
Unknown or unhandled errors may be logged to help us isolate edge cases and improve system stability. Error logs are limited to the data directly involved in the command that caused the issue β such as input arguments, feature state, and relevant identifiers (e.g., userId
, guildId
, channelId
, messageId
). These logs help ensure that when user error is the cause, the bot can provide a clear and actionable explanation for how to resolve or avoid the issue in the future.
Data Sharing
We will not share your personal information with any third parties except when required by law or to comply with a court order.
Our Access to Your Community
If you request help with a given feature you're thereby authorizing our team to join your community and help you with the requested matter. If the bot joins a server that has been nuked or is otherwise atypical/suspicious a representative may join your server to check and ensure that there isn't any abuse of the bot or violations of our TOS agreement. We have this policy in place to protect the image of our bot, ensure that it runs smoothly for those using it legitimately and uphold our values.
Data Storage and Security
To ensure the utmost security of your personal information, we use secure servers and implement the necessary technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Additionally, for any support or data deletion requests, we kindly ask that you utilize the support tickets channel located on our official support Discord server at https://support.goldendev.net to create a ticket and receive assistance.
Your Rights
As a user of our Discord Bot, you have the right to access and update your personal information at any time. You can also request that we delete your personal information, except where we are required by law to retain it.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will provide notice via our Discord server and will ping the Policies Update Role which can be selected during the onboarding processing upon joining or later in the Channels and Roles tab. Changes to mentioned pages or documents as part of these terms but not specifically on this page may not result in a notification. https://support.goldendev.net
